Czechia travel guide
Eight expanded city and heritage ideas across Bohemia and Moravia. Choose a region and a specific visit; castle circuits, church access and guided tours have separate seasons and conditions.
Prague bridge and castle districts
Prague
Choose a bridge-and-street walk separately from Prague Castle interiors. At the castle, the operator distinguishes the grounds, historical buildings, St Vitus Cathedral, the south tower and gardens, with different seasonal hours. Sunday cathedral sightseeing starts later than on other days; worship is not a sightseeing ticket. Check the closures page before choosing a date: the notice read on 13 Oct 2026 lists reduced cathedral hours on 16 and 17 Oct, the Old Royal Palace closed 23-29 Oct, and the whole castle area closed from 3 pm on 28 Oct, with the Royal Gardens and Stag Moat closed all that day. These are published notices, not a live entrance guarantee. Select the exact circuit, confirm security and mobility needs, and leave time for queues. The bridge Waze search is not permission to drive onto it. No castle ticket, tower admission or guided walk is reserved.
Olomouc upper square and churches
Olomouc
Use Upper Square as an exterior heritage walk, with the Holy Trinity Column as its focus, rather than promising an unobstructed monument or chapel visit. The city's tourism page says extensive restoration is underway until the end of 2026. Its heritage site describes the 32-metre column, built from 1717 to 1754, with a small chapel, sandstone sculptures and gilded copper groups. The town hall, astronomical clock and Baroque fountains provide other points of interest in the historic centre, but each interior or programme needs its own check. The anniversary programme is labelled 2025 and is not this year's event calendar. Confirm barriers, current viewing conditions and chapel access locally; a seasonal chapel description does not override restoration. Keep church visits separate and respect worship. Waze searches the square, not a parking space or driving permission. No tour or interior entry is arranged.
Cesky Krumlov town and castle
Český Krumlov
Walk the town first, then choose one specific castle product: Route I, the museum and tower, the Baroque theatre or the garden. The operator's autumn schedule differs by product. The museum and tower are a self-guided visit; the theatre preserves its stage, machinery, sets, costumes and other historic theatre equipment and is a separate limited-capacity tour requiring reservation. Its page contains inconsistent capacity figures, so confirm the actual party limit and language rather than relying on the largest number. The opening-hours page lists no scheduled periods for Route II, Bellaria or the stables; that is not proof that they are freely open. Do not treat a generic 'today' widget as selected-date availability. Check the precise route, season, stairs, meeting point and tickets. River rafting is a separate activity requiring its own conditions check. No tour, tower visit or river excursion is booked.
Holasovice folk-Baroque village
Holašovice
View the village green and Folk Baroque gables from public areas, then choose the Tourist Information Centre as a separate stop. UNESCO describes eighteenth- and nineteenth-century buildings on a medieval layout, and says most property is privately owned. A heritage listing does not open farmyards, houses or the inhabited forge to visitors. The centre is in the former Czech school and lists agricultural tools, everyday objects, photographs and models of village buildings, offering a way to understand the settlement beyond facade photos. Its English schedule uses the unclear label 'ST - SUN' for April-October, lists Friday-Sunday for November-December and gives no January-March hours. Confirm the actual day before depending on toilets, exhibitions or staff. It lists paid car and bus parking nearby, not a reserved bay. Respect residents and ask before entering private property. No exhibition, guide or parking is booked.
Telc square and Renaissance chateau
Telč
Start with the town-square walk, then choose the chateau's Renaissance Halls rather than assuming the whole complex has one ticket and season. The operator describes a 50-minute tour about the building and Zacharias of Hradec's rebuilding in 1553-1558. Its main schedule lists October to 1 November Tuesday-Sunday, 10 am to 3 pm, with a noon-to-1 pm lunch break; the halls then close for November and December. Other products, including the museum, courtyard and garden, have different dates. English tours require advance reservation, even though another label says reservations are needed for groups only. The same page's generic 'today' panel and repeated price/capacity blocks conflict with its detailed route information, so confirm the exact tour, language, start time and terms. A square walk does not include interiors or establish pond access. The Waze square search is not a ticket entrance or parking entitlement. No tour is reserved.
Litomysl chateau and town
Litomyšl
Choose a specific chateau route rather than an unspecified interior visit. The official list distinguishes the Thurn-Taxis rooms, theatre-history exhibition, new second-floor interiors after reconstruction, UNESCO exhibition, and kitchen-and-tower visit. The new-interiors route is described as 30 minutes and includes the oldest theatre hall, guest rooms, bay-window chapel and manor oratory. Its published October days differ from the generic 'available today' widget, so check the dated schedule and selected start. The Wallenstein basic tour is explicitly closed in 2026 for reconstruction. The tower product lists 175 steps; no step-free route is established by this guide. A theatre-history tour is not a performance ticket, and the Christmas tour's future title is not a booked event. Confirm language, route, mobility needs and tickets directly. Waze searches the chateau, not a concert seat or guaranteed entrance. No admission or performance is arranged.
Kutna Hora churches and Sedlec
Kutná Hora
Keep the town and St Barbara's Church separate from the Sedlec ossuary and cathedral visit. Sedlec's operator recommends advance tickets for a specific date and time because capacity is limited and walk-up entry is not guaranteed. The ticket time is the ossuary entry time: it asks visitors to arrive five minutes early, and says late entry cannot be guaranteed. The lower-chapel visit has a 30-minute maximum; the listed Sedlec Area ticket also covers the upper chapel and nearby cathedral during regular opening, not St Barbara's Church or a mine tour. Photography is prohibited and remains must not be touched. Reconstruction leaves access via temporary stairs with no barrier-free route; large luggage belongs in the information centre's storage, and strollers must be carried. Its cancellation rule is voucher credit, not a cash-refund promise. Check current conditions before buying. Existing Waze points to St Barbara's, not the timed Sedlec entrance. No ticket is booked.
Trebic Jewish quarter and basilica
Třebíč
Choose between a Rear Synagogue-only visit and a guided visit including Seligmann Bauer House. The town's tourism site describes early-eighteenth-century interior paintings, ceremonial objects and a 1:100 model of the Jewish quarter as it appeared in 1850. The neighbouring house shows interwar Jewish family life through a grocery shop, kitchen and bedroom. The guided synagogue-and-house tour is listed as roughly 45-50 minutes and requires at least two visitors. Longer quarter or cemetery tours are seasonal April-October, require at least four people and advance booking at least seven days ahead. English tours must be arranged with the information centre in advance. A combined basilica ticket does not automatically reserve either site's tour. The page also contains an undated 'Canceled guided tour' heading, so confirm your chosen tour rather than treating the general timetable as availability. Respect residents and memorial spaces. No museum, cemetery or basilica visit is reserved.
